Our School

Our Curriculum

Broad, balanced and unashamedly ambitious — designed to build knowledge that sticks and a love of learning that lasts.

A curriculum built around our children

Every subject at Chorleywood is carefully sequenced from Reception to Year 6, so that knowledge and skills build over time. Our teachers plan collaboratively, adapt for every learner, and revisit key ideas often — because remembering matters as much as understanding.

We hold a firm belief that children learn best when they feel known and safe. That's why our curriculum sits inside a wider culture of kindness, high expectations and joyful learning.

Three principles that guide us

Know it deeply

We teach fewer things in more depth, revisiting ideas so they last.

Make it real

Trips, visitors and hands-on work bring learning off the page.

Believe in every child

High expectations, careful scaffolding, no ceilings.
